Greater Horizons is proud to share another record-breaking year for our donors. Through their charitable funds, donors granted over $819 million to the causes they care about nationwide, creating a remarkable impact in all corners of philanthropy. Our 2022 annual report celebrates the achievements of individual, family and corporate charitable giving this past year.
Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle, helping donors organize and maximize their giving. With more than 5,281 donor-advised funds at Greater Horizons, donors granted $463 million to charitable causes.
We work with employers of all sizes who want to foster a corporate culture of giving. Between foundation grants, matching grants and scholarships, corporate giving reached $54 million.
Through scholarship funds at Greater Horizons, donors provided $4.6 million in direct assistance to more than 2,000 students for the 2022-23 school year. Donors who establish scholarship funds determine the criteria for their scholarship awards and can serve on selection committees.
We help private foundations, businesses and other funders by equipping them with the tools and resources they need to make an impact. In 2022, 24 local and national funders, collectively holding more than $257 million in assets, were recipients of our grantmaking expertise.
